"This delicate, harmonious white wine is a real treat to be savored slowly!"

" The nose, as light as it is delicate, exudes notes of exotic fruits and citrus rounded off with a hint of honey. Full-bodied and beautifully fresh at the same time, lingering on aromas of white flowers and lemon, the palate is very well balanced. Why not try it with a chicory tatin?" Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Jean Tatin, the memory of Quincy, will enthusiastically tell you all about his terroirs. His daughter Maroussia joined him in 2010 and is gradually bringing her personal vision to the estate's wines, which remain simple and well-made. The vineyard covers 25 hectares in Quincy, on the slopes of the Cher, and since 2003, also 8 hectares in Reuilly on the slopes of the Arnon. The low prices and warm welcome are definite assets, and we would recommend the single-vineyard whites from Quincy.

About the estate:

Jean Tatin inherited this estate from his maternal family, who have owned it since 1873. Based in Brinay, he harvested his first grapes here in the 1950s. Maroussia, the youngest of his three daughters, has taken over the business.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 06/02/2025

This young Sauvignon presents a lively, round profile in 2023, with a hint of richness and generous aromatics combining sustained flavors of flint and citrus, which have preserved its freshness within a fine, elegant structure. Its sharp, crisp character prolongs the mouthwatering finish with a delicate bitterness. We licked our fingers and lips with a tasty mouclade of mussels from Les Boucholeurs. Don't hesitate to try it with Cantonese rice with soy sauce and pink shrimp. Rating = 4.1.

Review and opinion by Mr. MATHIEU W. Published on 01/13/2025

Light straw yellow color. On the nose, white and yellow fruit, fruit gums, citrus zest, beeswax, hints of tropical fruit, minerality, and flint. Beautiful complex aromas. On the palate, full, ripe notes of green melon, pickled lemon, vegetal notes, green herbs, lots of substance and coating impressions throughout the wine, right through to the long, slightly salty finish. Wow, different from the 2022, but again class, finesse, and conviction. What a winner. Score: 17/20
