"At half the price of Kupe, this single-vineyard Escarpment wine offers excellent value for one of New Zealand’s finest Pinot Noirs. Still young, it needs a little time in a decanter or glass before opening up into a wine that is both elegant and powerful. Red fruit, tree sap, tar, and underlying minerality are wrapped in racy tannins. Length, elegance, intensity, and regional character are all present, as is the potential to age until at least 2028.” (Wine Enthusiast 2022). Screw cap

About the wine:
Deep notes of black cherry, plum, and cola emerge on the nose of the 2019 Escarpment Pinot Noir, a blend from several different vineyards around the village of Martinborough. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, rich and velvety, with a layered and richly textured finish, this is a robust wine that should age well over the next decade.
