"At half the price of Kupe, Escarpment's single vineyard wine offers excellent value for one of New Zealand's finest Pinot Noirs. Still young, it needs a little time in a decanter or glass, then opens up to reveal a wine that is both elegant and powerful. Red fruits, tree sap, tar, and underlying minerality are enveloped in racy tannins. Length, elegance, intensity, and regional character are all present, as is the ability to age until at least 2028." (Wine Enthusiast 2022). Screw cap.

About wine:
Deep notes of black cherry, plum, and cola appear on the nose of the 2019 Escarpment Pinot Noir, a blend from several different sites around the village of Martinborough. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, rich and velvety, with a layered and richly textured finish, this is a solid wine that should drink well over the next decade.
