Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

This 33-hectare family estate, located in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, was founded in 1892 on the family lands of Marquis Bernard de Pissy. Originally a mixed-farming operation, the estate is now dedicated exclusively to vineyards. Antonin, representing the fifth generation, is passionately committed to managing this beautiful property, which surrounds one of the world’s most stunning golf courses, Dolce Frégate. The wines have been improving over several vintages and are now considered among the appellation’s most reliable choices.

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated wine (2021 guide) 1*Star (2019 vintage) (A very successful wine)

Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

“Between sea and stones”—that is how the estate describes itself, having been in the same family since 1882. Its name comes from the Old Provençal word fragato (“broken”), referring to the stone-clearing work required to plant the vines. The Mediterranean Sea, ever-present here, borders the property, whose vineyards cover 30 hectares, straddling the towns of Saint-Cyr and Bandol.
