According to legend, the Domaine de Frégate takes its name from a ship that ran aground on the shore of what is now the vineyard. Enjoying an exceptional and privileged setting, perched on the hillside of Bandol overlooking the sea, Domaine de Frégate covers 30 hectares of vines planted on clay-limestone, stony, very arid soil with low yields. It is this unique climate, both protected and open, that gives the Domaine de Frégate's Bandol wines their distinctive character.
