"Excellent intensity and complexity revealing aromas of redcurrants, peonies, white peaches, and a delicate touch of white pepper. Rich, beautifully structured, with a straightforward and intense style that almost recalls the structure of a red wine, such is its beautiful density of expression. The finish is characterized by a lovely freshness and a slight touch of bitterness." (Sommeliers International Magazine, June 2022 - Paolo Basso, World's Best Sommelier)

Rated wine (2022 guide) Prix Plaisir Gold (Prix Plaisir)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

This 33-hectare family estate, located in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, was founded in 1892 on the family lands of Marquis Bernard de Pissy. Initially a mixed farming operation, the estate now consists exclusively of vineyards. Antonin, the fifth generation, is passionately involved in running this beautiful property, which surrounds one of the world's most beautiful golf courses, Dolce Frégate. The wines have been improving over several vintages and are now among the appellation's most reliable.

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

"Between sea and stones" is how the estate, which has been in the same family since 1882, is described. Its name comes from the Old Provençal word fragato ("broken"), referring to the work of removing stones that was necessary in order to plant the vines. The Mediterranean Sea, omnipresent here, borders the property, whose vineyard covers 30 hectares, straddling Saint-Cyr and Bandol.
