"The island's pink gold!"

"The nose of this rosé is all earth and spice aromas, like walking down a gravel path. The palate continues with a robust minerality in this very textured wine. The finish is very peppery." (Wine Enthusiast 2025)

Domaine noté (guide 2020) Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)

About the domain :

La Courtade, one of three estates on the magnificent island of Porquerolles, was bought in 2014 by Édouard Carmignac, manager of the eponymous management fund and a major art collector. Since then, the reception area has undergone major restructuring. In fact, the Fondation Carmignac has taken up residence here to exhibit the owner's highly eclectic and specialized collection. Up until now, redoing the old cellar was not on the agenda, but this is set to change in the near future. While the wines are presented with some very creative new labels, the whole leaves us wanting more. A disappointing development, given the magnificent character of the wines before the estate was taken over. Let's hope that very soon the wine will benefit from the same attention that Monsieur Carmignac pays to his art. The terroir deserves it.
