"Medium-deep ruby red color. Pure nose, with good intensity and some development, offering ripe red fruit, cherry brandy, pepper, and garrigue. The palate is medium-bodied, layered, and round with fine extraction and supple tannins, digestible red fruit, and a long, spicy finish." (Andreas Larsson 2021)

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Planted in 1980 and purchased in 2010 by Caroline and Philippe Chauvin, this 15-hectare property, eight of which are in Bandol, is located on a hillside and is organized into terraces. Facing north, running down a fairly steep slope, the vineyard is rising from the ashes. With the construction of a beautiful winery, perfectly integrated into the landscape, and the opening of a farmhouse inn offering a wide range of products from their own production, the estate takes the concept of hospitality and terroir very seriously.
