Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide): 3*Stars (High-quality production that serves as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
A prominent family in the Provençal wine industry, the Otts entered the wine business by acquiring Château de Selle in 1912, Clos Mireille in 1930, and Domaine Romassan in 1956. Taken over by the Roederer Group in 2004, the winemaking business continues under the leadership of Christian and Jean-François, the Ott cousins—proof that the family remains deeply involved and, in fact, is still a shareholder. The finest vintages are all rosés and, with admirable consistency, remain among the most successful in Provence.

Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Award-Winning Wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
Originally from Alsace, the Ott family, who settled in Provence in 1896, acquired Romassan in 1956 (70 hectares at the foot of Le Castellet in the Bandol appellation) and also owns Château de Selle and Clos Mireille in the Côtes-de-Provence region. Two AOCs and a distinctive bottle, inspired by the Roman amphora. The estate (part of the Champagne house Roederer since 2004) is run by cousins Christian and Jean-François Ott.
