Hachette

"A beautiful, light, trendy color adorns this rosé, which has a fairly reserved and fresh nose of boxwood and citrus. These tones are echoed on the palate, which is full-bodied and supple, with a subtle tension on the finish." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016) A must-try!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Jacqueline Bichot, a pharmacist turned winemaker, fell in love with this ideally located vineyard with the Sainte-Victoire mountain as a backdrop. It is 400 meters above sea level, in an area where the cool climate is reflected in the wines. The Sainte-Victoire terroir produces pure, elegant wines that are perfectly in tune with their terroir. With organic and biodynamic certification acquired in 2017, she has validated the seriousness of her approach and continues to pamper her 47 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soil, typical of the appellation.

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2016) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About wine:

This rosé has a beautiful light, trendy color and a fairly reserved, fresh nose of boxwood and citrus. These flavors are echoed on the palate, which is full-bodied and supple, with a subtle tension on the finish.

About the estate:

The estate takes its name from the chapel of Saint-Ser, dedicated to a 5th-century hermit who, ignoring the threats of the Visigoth ruler Enric, was beheaded. Managed using biodynamic methods, its 46 hectares of vineyards extend over a privileged terroir of limestone gravel on the southern slope of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, where the grapes benefit from maximum sunshine.

Drink within two years. This is a very pleasant wine. Fruity and excellent as an aperitif, it is full-bodied enough to accompany a summer meal. A wine to be enjoyed.

A very well-made, balanced rosé, but with a rather unfavorable price-quality ratio.

I am still very satisfied with this surprisingly fresh, round, silky rosé, which is extremely refined and pleasantly tangy. The elegance of the color and the bottle are also worth noting, not to mention the excellent value for money. It is undoubtedly my favorite rosé, along with Château Minuty's "Prestige" cuvée.
