Château La Croix des Pins - Les Contreforts de Montmirail 2017
1*Étoile
Hachette
“A red wine, a classic blend of Grenache and Syrah, that exudes elegance. Spices, thyme, and fresh red fruits are evident on the nose. Notes of tobacco and forest floor expand this palette into a round, long finish with tempered power. Already enjoyable.”(Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

About the wine:
A red wine, a classic blend of Grenache and Syrah, that exudes elegance. Spices, thyme, and fresh red berries are evident on the nose. Notes of tobacco and forest floor expand this palette into a round, long finish with restrained power. Already enjoyable.
About the estate:
The indoor chapel and pergola of this Tuscan-style country estate serve as a reminder that, in the 16th century, the estate belonged to an Italian prelate. In 2009, Jean-Pierre Valade, an international wine consultant, and Éric Petitjean took over the estate and its 33 hectares of organically farmed vineyards (Beaumes-de-Venise, Ventoux, and Gigondas).
