"Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre blend beautifully in this wine, which is dark in color yet luminous on the nose, with crisp notes of grenadine and blackcurrant. It is equally delightful on the palate, opening up with a round, warm attack, bursting with jammy fruit, and tightening on the finish with well-balanced tannins. Powerful, rich, and complete, the jury succumbs to the charm of La Galante.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2019 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2019 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the wine:
With a silky texture that remains true to itself, its aromas of dark fruit, spices, Mediterranean scrub, and licorice lead to a long, finely structured finish.
About the estate:
Christèle Plantevin loves cooking and wine. She initially pursued a different career path before returning to Cairanne to take over this family estate, founded in 1902, where the garrigue terroir (red clay subsoil and pebbles on the surface) lends power and complexity to her wines. By limiting yields, she preserves the richness and distinctive character of both her reds and whites.

About the estate:
