“Equal parts Syrah and Grenache, with extended maceration and partial barrel aging: a winning combination. The opaque color heralds an intense nose of macerated fruit, forest floor, and truffle, underscored by oak. The oak is subtle on the palate, lending its patina, roundness, and aromatic nuances to a full-bodied, long finish that is as powerful as it is elegant. Let’s hear from the jury: “superb balance,” “remarkable wine,” “a truly beautiful cuvée,” “keep it up!” That says it all.”(Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

About the wine:
Equal parts Syrah and Grenache, with extended maceration and partial barrel aging: a winning combination. The opaque color hints at an intense nose of macerated fruit, forest floor, and truffle, underscored by oak. The barrel makes a subtle appearance on the palate, lending its patina, roundness, and aromatic nuances to a full-bodied, long finish that is as powerful as it is elegant. Let’s hear from the jury: “superb balance,” “remarkable wine,” “a truly beautiful cuvée,” “keep it up!” That says it all.
About the estate:

Their portfolio includes Côtes-du-Rhône, Villages, Cairanne, and IGP Principauté d'Orange.

A very earthy wine, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. It would benefit from being cellared a little longer!
