“A splendid vintage, just like its terroir!”
"The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is of unparalleled precision and concentration. Honeyed quince, white flowers, honeysuckle, chalky minerality, and notes of toasted spices define the aromas. The wine is medium-bodied to full-bodied, with lovely depth on the mid-palate and a remarkable sense of freshness, while remaining rich and textured.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2021)

Rated (2020 Guide) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and around the world)
About the estate:
Since 1909, Beaucastel has been owned by the Perrin family. Today, it is run by Jean-Pierre and François, the sons of Jacques Perrin, alongside Cécile, Marc, Pierre, Thomas, Charles, Mathieu, and César—the fifth generation. In other words: a family affair! Situated on 100 hectares of rounded pebble soil, including 30 hectares in the Côtes du Rhône (Coudoulet de Beaucastel), Château Beaucastel produces four wines. For whites, there is a classic cuvée dominated by Roussanne, and the famous Roussanne-Vieilles-Vignes cuvée. For the reds, Mourvèdre plays a major role, accounting for nearly a third of the vineyards—as much as Grenache. This unusual proportion was strategic in 2018 and helped achieve the finesse and freshness characteristic of Beaucastel. This is undoubtedly one of the finest wine estates in France, with, it seems to us, an added purity in recent years.

About the wine:
An aromatic vintage at this stage, with notes of honeyed pear and honeysuckle. Full-bodied, round, and generous, with plenty of glycerol, all balanced by strong acidity. The alcohol provides only a slight warming sensation. Certainly a rich vintage, full of power, body, and ripeness.

About the wine:
Beaucastel's 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, composed of 80% Roussanne and a blend of other authorized white grape varieties for the remainder, is a wine of great finesse. Notes of mandarin and peach are round and full-bodied on the palate, which is quite rich and velvety to the touch, yet long and harmonious on the finish. It is truly remarkable that it can be so ripe and sumptuous while remaining so well-balanced.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
With its unique terroir of rounded pebbles, Château de Beaucastel is one of the icons of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This estate can boast of being one of the few to use all thirteen authorized grape varieties in the production of its red wine. A wine that is consistently of very high quality, though it faces competition from vintages that have shaken up the appellation’s hierarchy. Certainly, the extremely rare and remarkable Hommage à Jacques Perrin cuvée, made predominantly from Mourvèdre and produced only in great vintages, remains a benchmark, as does the sumptuous Roussanne Vieilles Vignes white, which reveals its full potential with age. Under the Perrin family’s capable leadership, Château de Beaucastel remains a benchmark for wines from southern France, a status it must now share with other estates that have reached—or even surpassed—its level.

About the wine:
Beautiful nutty notes on the nose—almond, marzipan, and spiced pear. The palate is rich and dense—textured, full-bodied, and almost sweet. Marzipan comes through on the finish. A honeyed, powerful, and very rich finish, broad and golden. Well-balanced but truly grand!

About the wine:
The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc has the potential to surpass the four previous vintages. This 2022 white wine captivates with its enchanting aromas of spring flowers, lime and lemon zest, pear, white peach, quince, and a tropical hint of melon. With an alcohol content of 14%, it is remarkably fresh, offering ripe, juicy fruit and exceptional flavor definition. The savory finish lingers for over a minute.

About the wine:
A fantastic nose of cooked apricots, a wide array of candied fruits, and toasted nuts. Full-bodied, concentrated, and creamy, with a velvety texture on the palate and a very long finish with controlled power. Made from organically grown grapes. Enjoy now or celller.
