Mas de Boislauzon

Mas de Boislauzon is located north of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, in the commune of Orange at a place called Boislauzon. It is run by Christine and Daniel Chaussy, the fifth generation of winegrowers in this family.

Mas de Boislauzon has 9 hectares in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation spread over 15 plots in the localities of Cabrières, Boislauzon, Lagardiole, Palestor, and Pignan, as well as 15 hectares in the Côtes-du-Rhône Villages appellation spread over 15 plots within a 5 km radius of the estate, in the areas known as Boislauzon and Coudoulet. The Mas de Boislauzon vineyard is cultivated using sustainable agriculture methods and has been undergoing conversion to organic farming since the 2009 vintage. The 2012 harvest will be the first certified organic vintage.

Mas de Boislauzon is a rare benchmark in France, with 90% of its production sold for export. It has twice been awarded 100/100 by Robert Parker for its grand cuvée Quet, in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, for the 2007 and 2010 vintages.
