Domaine du Grand Tinel - Châteauneuf-du-Pape rouge 2022
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"The only Châteauneuf to have been awarded 3* Coup Cœur by the Guide Hachette 2026!"
"While the 2021 version of the estate's classic label delighted the jury, the 2022 version literally captivated them. With 70% Grenache and 12 months' aging in barrels of various sizes, the recipe remains the same. The brilliance of a still tender ruby color, the eloquent bouquet of crushed strawberries sprinkled with praline, and above all the fresh, caressing palate, sheathed in velvety tannins and enhanced by peppery and mineral notes that underline its devilishly sapid character: everything reflects a tactfully extracted wine, elegant and very digestible, unlike the competition-winning Châteauneufs. About the estate:
The estate was founded by the union of two old Castelpapal families, the Establets and the Jeunes. A vast "tina" (cellar or barrel) was built on three levels, in keeping with the 72 hectares of vineyards on the current property, which was created in 1972.
