Domaine du Grand Tinel - Châteauneuf-du-Pape rouge 2022
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“The only Châteauneuf to have been awarded 3* Coup Cœur by the 2026 Hachette Guide!”
"While the 2021 vintage of the estate's classic label had delighted the jury, the 2022 vintage literally captivated them. With 70% Grenache and 12 months of aging in barrels of various sizes, the recipe remains the same. The brilliance of a still-tender ruby color, the expressive bouquet of crushed strawberries dusted with praline, and above all the fresh, caressing palate, wrapped in velvety tannins, enhanced by peppery and mineral notes that highlight its devilishly savory character: everything reflects a wine crafted with finesse, elegant and very approachable, in stark contrast to the competition-style Châteauneufs.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About the wine:
While the 2021 vintage of the estate’s classic label had charmed the jury, the 2022 vintage literally captivated them. With 70% Grenache and 12 months of aging in barrels of various sizes, the recipe remains the same. The brilliance of a still-tender ruby color, the expressive bouquet of crushed strawberries dusted with praline, and above all the fresh, caressing palate, wrapped in velvety tannins, enhanced by peppery and mineral notes that highlight its devilishly savory character: everything reflects a wine crafted with tact, elegant and very approachable, a stark contrast to the competition-style Châteauneufs.
About the estate:
The estate traces its origins to the union of two long-established families from Castelpapal, the Establets and the Jeunes. A large “tina” (cellar or barrel) was built there on three levels, reflecting the 72 hectares of vineyards on the current property, which was established in 1972.
