Le Jas des Papes

Le Jas des Papes was acquired in 2014 by Michel Audibert, the first member of the family to establish himself outside the Provence appellation. A great enthusiast of wines from the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, Michel began his venture with 6 hectares of vineyards, before expanding the estate in 2017 to about ten hectares spread across several plots. The vineyard’s current layout, characterized by a beautiful diversity of plots, contributes to the uniqueness and richness of the Jas des Papes terroir.

Jas des Papes has been led since 2015 by winemaker JP Meuwesen, who hails from the major wine region of Stellenbosch in South Africa. A great connoisseur of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir, he is committed to maintaining biodiversity in the vineyard.

The vines are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment. The decision to adopt organic farming practices was made as soon as the Audibert family acquired Jas des Papes in 2014. As a result, the estate has been Organic certified since 2017.
