"A sublime white Châteauneuf that will shine at the table!

"A blend of Roussanne, Bourboulenc and Clairette, Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc 2023 has a deeper medium-gold hue and an exotic bouquet of ripe stone fruit, honeyed toast, chamomile and baking spices. This white wine gains in freshness and complexity with age, is medium to full-bodied and has a pure, structured and elegant palate, good concentration and exceptional length. This exotic, rich, textured white will shine at the table." (Jeb Dunnuck 2024)

Wine rated (2026 guide) 95/100

Domaine rated (guide 2026) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

A historic landmark in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this emblematic estate was long run by the Armenier sisters, who raised it to the top of the appellation. Today, Sophie's son Vincent Estevin continues the family tradition with the same exacting standards. Biodynamic viticulture remains at the heart of the approach, with meticulous care given to each vineyard plot. The range is built around four cuvées: a fresh Côtes-du-Rhône, a full-bodied, structured white and two highly individual reds. The cuvée vieilles vignes impresses with its restrained power and masterful balance, while the cuvée Tradition continues to be the standard-bearer of this model domaine, which shines with the precision, depth and energy of these great terroir wines.

About the wine:

A pure, fresh example, albeit quite full-bodied. It has good acidity and is well balanced, with a saline, mineral touch, a long finish and discreet oak work. It's a very clear, transparent expression of Châteauneuf blanc. Fermented and aged for nine months in 60% stainless steel and 40% demi-muids.

Domaine noté (guide 2024) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc 2023 evokes a delicate, fresh bouquet of almond blossom, pear, white peach and white fruit. It is medium to full-bodied, round and enveloping, precise and homogeneous, with a fleshy core of fruit and bright acids framed by a fresh, taut and ethereal finish. Aged in equal parts in large casks and stainless steel, this blend of 70% Roussanne and 30% Bourboulenc has benefited from malolactic fermentation.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 97/100

Domaine rated (guide 2026) 3*Stars (They represent the excellence of the French vineyard. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wines is always a magical experience)

About the domain :

Managed by Sophie Armenier and Vincent Estevenin, Domaine de Marcoux has established itself at the pinnacle of the appellation. The wines have a rare naturalness and depth, an energy and power on the palate that are not supported by any artificial ageing. These classic wines, marked by the imprint of ripe Grenache, age wonderfully. Despite high maturities, all the cuvées have found their balance and seem less hot than in the past, gaining in minerality and salinity.
