“A sublime white Châteauneuf that will shine at the table!”

"A blend of Roussanne, Bourboulenc, and Clairette, the 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc features a deeper medium-gold hue and an exotic bouquet of ripe stone fruits, honeyed toast, chamomile, and baking spices. This white wine gains freshness and complexity with age; it is medium-bodied to full-bodied and offers a pure, structured, and elegant palate, good concentration, and exceptional length. This exotic, rich, and textured white will shine at the table.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2024)

Wine rated (2026 guide) 95/100

Rated estate (2026 guide) 4*Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

A historic landmark of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this iconic estate was long led by the Armenier sisters, who elevated it to the pinnacle of the appellation. Today, it is Vincent Estevin, Sophie’s son, who carries on the family legacy with the same high standards. Biodynamics remains at the heart of the approach, with meticulous care given to every plot in the vineyard. The range is centered around four cuvées: a fresh Côtes-du-Rhône, a full-bodied and structured white, and two reds with strong personalities. The Vieilles Vignes cuvée impresses with its restrained power and masterful balance, while the Tradition cuvée continues to stand as the flagship of this exemplary estate, which shines through the precision, depth, and energy of these great terroir wines.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 94/100

About the wine:

A pure, fresh wine, though quite full-bodied. It has good acidity and is well-balanced, with a hint of saltiness and minerality, a long finish, and subtle oak influence. It is a very clear and transparent expression of white Châteauneuf. Fermented and aged for nine months in 60% stainless steel and 40% demi-muids.

Rated estate (2024 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

The 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc offers a delicate, fresh bouquet of almond blossoms, pear, white peach, and white fruits. It is medium-bodied to full-bodied, round and enveloping, precise and well-balanced, with a fleshy core of fruit and bright acidity framed by a fresh, taut, and ethereal finish. Aged equally in large oak barrels and stainless steel, this blend of 70% Roussanne and 30% Bourboulenc underwent malolactic fermentation.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 97/100

Rated estate (2026 guide) 3*Stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)

About the estate:

Led by Sophie Armenier and Vincent Estevenin, the Marcoux estate has established itself at the pinnacle of the appellation. The wines possess a rare naturalness and depth, along with an energy and power on the palate that rely on no artificial aging techniques. These great classic wines, marked by the character of ripe Grenache, age beautifully. Despite high levels of ripeness, all the vintages have found their balance and appear less hot than in the past; they have gained in minerality and salinity.
