"A Châteauneuf of extraordinary charm".
"The transition in the cellar under Ralph Garcin seems to be bearing fruit, as evidenced by the three consecutive Favorites over the last three editions. On view this year is the estate's classic label, a stunning 2021 with a captivating nose of resin, coriander, dead leaves, wild strawberry and candied blackberry. Magnified by sappy tannins perfectly set in the flesh and barely perceptible oak, the palate is noble, caressing and fresh, where the aromas revealed on olfaction blossom, enhanced by an irresistible mineral touch of flint. Madly charming. (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the domain :
Things are moving forward at the mighty Ampuis estate. In the north, Philippe Guigal has made no secret of his desire to eventually go organic, and recent plantings at Le Plomb have been carried out to enable winch-operated work. But it's in the south that the most important projects are underway, with a new winery operational at Château de Nalys from the 2025 harvest, and new buildings expected by 2026. Otherwise, the first tastings - still unofficial - of La Reynarde, the future new jewel in the Côte Rôtie crown, continue, showing those who doubted the beauty of the Fongeant terroir.

About the domain :
One of the oldest estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, recorded as far back as the 17th century and then owned by the Nalys family. Its venerable vineyard (52 ha) underwent a renaissance in the 1950s. A sure bet in the appellation, acquired in 2017 by Maison Guigal. Organic conversion is underway.

About the wine:
A refined, fresh, well-balanced red with aromas of strawberries, red berries, wild herbs and sweet spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Delicate texture with finesse typical of the vintage. Velvety and concentrated. Enjoy or keep.

About the wine:
Châteauneuf Du Pape Saintes Pierres De Nalys 2021 is composed of 70% Grenache (20% whole bunches), with the remainder essentially Syrah aged mainly in large foudres. Its medium ruby color is followed by a gorgeous perfume of ripe strawberry and raspberry, as well as numerous spicy, floral and Provençal aromas and flavors. With medium-bodied, ripe tannins, fine overall balance and exceptional length, it will evolve gracefully for at least 10-15 years. It's as good as the Grand Vin, but its style is more elegant and prettier.
