Nalys Castle
For more than four centuries, the Nalys estate has undoubtedly been one of the oldest estates in papal lands. Located in Courthézon in the Vaucluse region, this 52-hectare estate cultivates the 13 grape varieties of the appellation, in keeping with the tradition of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Nalys estate is surrounded by three plots, the first of which gave it its name: Nalys. The other two are located on two of the appellation's major terroirs: Le Bois Sénéchal and La Crau.

The wines of the Nalys estate are of consistently high quality. The style of Nalys, initially classic, was modernized in 1950, but has now returned to a more traditional style of Châteauneuf du Pape wines. July 2017 marked a turning point in the history of this family estate with its acquisition by the Guigal family, now renamed Château de Nalys. The rest of the story is still being written...
