"Prestige!"
“Among the top two or three wines of the vintage and just as good as the Grenache produced in 2014, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Secret des Sabon (95% Grenache and 5% other authorized varieties) is a superbly ripe wine, medium-bodied to full-bodied, delivering pure and complex aromas of black cherry, licorice, blackcurrant, and garrigue. It has a beautiful Grenache character, solid depth on the mid-palate, and soft tannins on the finish. A vintage wine with aging potential that will age well for a decade.” (Wine Advocate – Jeb Dunnuck)

Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
The Sabon family is one of the oldest in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. But as generations come and go, they are not all alike: in the past, the estate’s wines were made from un-destemmed grapes; today, they are partially destemmed. Straddling the line between tradition and modernity, the wines give pride of place to Grenache. The entire range displays surprising consistency, focused on achieving great ripeness. Here, the greater the wine’s stature, the more refined it must be—and all with a great deal of natural elegance.
