Vignoble Diffonty - Châteauneuf-du-Pape Manus Dei 2020
90-92/100
Jeb Dunnuck
"Don't miss it!"
"Lots of notes of black fruit, peppery herbs, graphite, and leather emerge from the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Manus Dei; a fleshy, medium-bodied to full-bodied wine, loaded with fruit, already clean and charming. It should keep well for another ten years. The blend is 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre, aged in large oak barrels, old barrels, and concrete vats." (Jeb Dunnuck 2021)

Winery rated 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Château Sixtine is the new name for the former Cuvée du Vatican estate, a well-known property owned by the Diffonty family. The 24 hectares spread across the appellation, including 5 hectares bordering Château Rayas in Pignan, allow for blending, resulting in a beautiful, classically crafted wine.
