RVF (G&M)

“The gold standard for density, finesse, and—above all—flavor! The name of this cuvée refers to the percentage of the slope on which its young vines (under 15 years old) are planted. Delicate yet full-bodied, this Cornas is approachable even when young, appealing to both restaurants and wine lovers without cellars. A superb bargain! ” (The 2016 Guide to Wine Bargains - Gerbelle & Maurange)

Wine rated (2016 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2016 guide): 3*Stars (High-quality production that serves as a benchmark in its sector)

About the wine:

A straightforward, clean, very crisp, elegant, and modern wine that remains true to the granite terroir; it will become more complex with age.

About the estate:

Vincent Paris is a young winemaker who has invested wisely to acquire excellent plots of land, primarily in Cornas. His lineup is limited but grows in intensity year after year. At the top of the range are the “Granit 60°” cuvées—named after the 60-degree incline of the slope where the grapes are harvested—and “La-Geynale,” made from vines that are nearly a century old. This winemaker’s production is limited, but his wines can be found at good wine shops, particularly at Georges Lelektsoglou’s irreplaceable Compagnie de l’Hermitage in Tain.

Wine rated (2014 guide) 89–92/100 (Excellent wine)

Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker—The Wine Advocate)

About the wine:

The 2013 Cornas Granit 30 is still raw, brimming with jammy blackberry, black pepper, and a meaty character, with a robust richness and powerful yet supple tannins. It displays extraordinary fruit purity and should be excellent to drink upon release.

About the wine:

The ultimate in density, finesse, and—above all—flavor! The name of this cuvée refers to the percentage of the slope on which its young vines (less than 15 years old) are planted. Delicate yet full-bodied, this Cornas is approachable even when young and appeals equally to restaurants and wine lovers without cellars. A superb value!
