Domaine Vincent Paris
The Domaine Vincent Paris is located at the southern tip of the village of Cornas. This young winemaker has been working independently since 1997 and started his business thanks to a precious inheritance from his grandfather: 1 hectare of vines. In 2007, he acquired the famous La Geynale plot, taken over from renowned producer Robert Michel. Vincent Paris now cultivates 6.6 hectares of vines, including nearly 5 hectares under the Cornas appellation.
To produce his vintages, Vincent Paris blends his different plots and draws inspiration from their remarkable slopes to name his wines: Granit 30 and Granit 60. Only La Geynale is vinified separately. Domaine Vincent Paris does not practice organic viticulture but, with a view to sustainable management, uses treatments authorized by certification bodies. Due to the difficulty of accessing the vineyard because of the steep slopes, the soil is not plowed and is weeded only once in the spring. Organic matter is provided by the vine shoots left between the rows after rigorous pruning. Domaine Vincent Paris practices limited yields for the production of its Syrah.
The Domaine Vincent Paris rangeconsists of five wines: IGP Ardèche blanc, Saint Joseph, Cornas Granit 30, Cornas Granit 60, and Cornas La Geynale.
