“A well-rounded wine that is both full-bodied and fruity!”

“A beautiful, bright red color, with aromas of red cherries, red currants, and dried pepper on the nose. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins. Lots of energy, with a precise and vibrant finish. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Marselan. Made from biodynamically grown grapes certified by Demeter. Ready to drink or for aging. ” (James Suckling 2025)

About the estate:

A true pioneer in the appellation’s return to quality, this estate boasts diverse terroirs, which it skillfully utilizes to create blends that strike a balance between finesse and structure. The wines, which are of the highest quality, continue to improve. In the summer, François and Anne Collard offer walking and mountain biking tours around the estate, allowing visitors to explore their terroir and discover the region’s flora and fauna. It’s well worth the detour! A top-tier estate with several exceptional plots of old vines, producing consistent, understated wines that win us over year after year.

Rated Estate: Award-Winning Wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the estate:

François Collard is a regular in the Guide, with his wines often ranking very highly. Established in 1994, he began bottling wines from the family vineyards (65 hectares certified organic since 2014) under two labels: Mourgues du Grès, which belonged to the Ursuline Convent of Beaucaire until the Revolution, and La Tour de Béraud, named after a 14th-century watchtower Never short on ideas, the Collard couple invites visitors to explore every facet of the estate via a marked trail equipped with Bluetooth markers.
