"One of the best values in the appellation!"
With its stunning inky color, this Côte-Rôtie offers promising notes of spices, black olives, and asphalt. The estate’s flagship cuvée reveals great finesse, aromatic richness, and a beautiful tannic structure. It stylishly combines elegance and silkiness in a promising nectar. This age-worthy wine is best enjoyed between 6 and 15 years, but can also be savored in its youth for a rich and intense pleasure. A must-have for lovers of great Rhône wines!

Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
This small estate cultivates eleven plots across eight vineyards in Côte-Rôtie, from which Patrick Jasmin produces a single blended wine that requires several years of aging. A serious producer.

About the estate:
Patrick Jasmin is the fourth generation of his family to cultivate the estate’s six hectares (currently) of Côte Rôtie. Since 2015, the estate has also included 12 hectares of early-ripening Collines Rhodaniennes. Jasmin uses a variety of oak sizes, with no more than 30% new oak overall. The luxury cuvée, Oléa, may have a higher proportion, as it is a selection of barrels, but this means that 15% to 20% new oak is more typical of the estate’s main cuvée, La Giroflarie. The grapes are destemmed (since the mid-1990s), with submerged cap fermentation for gentle extraction and about 5% Viognier. The result is fragrant wines with silky textures but admirable structure. They certainly deserve more attention from consumers.
