Syrah
finesse
Lamb chops with porcini mushrooms

Produced from light-colored soils in the Leyat, Côte Blonde, Fongeant, La Brosse, and Le Truchet vineyards, the Prélude cuvée is aged for 20 months in oak barrels. Its nose of dark berries and violets, tinged with spices and camphor, leads to a soft, delicate palate characterized by finesse. Concentrated, structured by delicate tannins, and marked by a certain freshness on the finish, this is a Côte-Rôtie full of nuance.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 1 star (A high-quality, recommended wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

A small winery with vineyards that are sometimes quite old in the Côte Brune region, and a disciple of Patrick Jasmin’s winemaking style—a mark of authenticity. The winery managed to hold its own in 2015, which is typical for the region.
