Coteaux Pont du Gard

The Coteaux du Pont du Gard vineyard is located in Languedoc, in the Occitanie region of southern France. It stretches from the Mediterranean coast to Ardèche, forming a link between Languedoc and Provence. This label attests to the region's strong production potential and exceptional heritage. The Pont du Gard, from which the vineyard takes its name, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Water is also a defining feature of the Coteaux du Pont du Gard, particularly in Vergèze, where it influences the wine-growing areas and impacts the aromatic profile and balance of the grapes. The soils are diverse, ranging from coarse-grained yellow limestone, known as Pont du Gard stone, to white limestone on the garrigue plateaus and blond limestone in Uzès. Finally, along the Rhône, the soils are pebbly.A dry, harsh, sunny Mediterranean climate produces powerful, complex and elegant wines. However, this climate is dominated by the powerful mistral wind and alternates with periods of sea winds responsible for violent autumn rains. 

The excellent conditions for ripening and adaptation of the grape varieties produce wines with a Mediterranean character. The red wines are powerful and warm with fruity aromas. The white and rosé wines are fine and elegant, full-bodied and fruity, generally vinified to be consumed young.
