Tried & True

"A delightful treat!"

“The Sablet family truly shone in 2024, producing two ‘ Favorites ’ in this vintage. This refined red wine brilliantly demonstrates this right from the first sip with its rich bouquet blending floral notes (muscari), a hint of fruit (blueberry), and scents of the forest floor (lichen) against a slightly smoky backdrop. Both ripe and fresh, bursting with juicy fruit, the palate offers an uncommon fullness, underscored by smooth tannins and refined by a long, mineral finish of graphite. Quite simply voluptuous.” (Le Guide Hachette 2027)

About the wine:

A fresh, peppery nose, followed by a full-bodied palate with significant tannins for a Sablet: this is a more robust wine than one might expect from this appellation. Aromas of blackberry and black cherry, with lovely concentration and a mineral finish.
