"A Côtes du Rhône full of deliciousness"
Vinified as whole clusters, as at Rayas, the old Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah vines develop remarkable complexity. The bouquet evolves toward notes of red fruit, blackcurrant, and spices. The attack is round and enveloping, supported by structured, fine tannins. The finish is pleasantly long and offers a delicious pleasure. Enjoy now or wait for those who are more patient...

Wine rating (2026 guide) 90/100 (2022 vintage)
Rated estate (2026 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
Located in Courthézon, Font de Courtedune was created in 1997, after years of delivering grapes to the cooperative winery, by the father of Caroline and Frédéric Charlier, brother and sister who now run the estate. In thirty years, this discreet property has become one of the sure values of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Caroline and Frédéric arrived at the estate in 2001 and took over in 2010 after their father's death. While Frédéric works in the vineyards, Caroline manages the wines in the cellar. Continuing the tradition, she vinifies with the stems and ages the wine in concrete vats. IGP, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Châteauneuf, an almost pure Grenache from a safre sector: here, all the wines have the same common thread, finesse and purity, nothing else.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on March 5, 2026
Simple but rather well made, this full-bodied and refreshing Côtes du Rhône develops a fine texture with a silky touch, offering flavors of tart fruit and peppery spices. A slight tannic bite on the finish. Would benefit from being aged a little longer. The character of this easy-drinking wine means you can enjoy it without breaking the bank, pairing it with everyday southern cuisine (kefta, lamb moussaka, grilled chorizo, etc.). Rating = 3.8.
