"This red wine is a great success, with its intense color and elegant nose of fresh fruit and violets, rewarding meticulous work in the vineyard and gentle extraction in the vat. The palate opens with notes of cherry clafoutis and reveals a full-bodied and generous texture, underscored by smooth tannins and a finish full of sweetness. A wine that evokes lunches under the arbor. " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 08/02/2022

The proximity of Mont Chauve is evident on the palate from the very first sip: it is warm, full-bodied (14.5%), full of sunshine and well-extracted fruit (plum, blackberry, cherry) with a pinch of white pepper and a touch of leather, in a soft and silky texture. In a balanced composition, what energy, what depth, which continue into a round and smooth finish, providing a very pleasant sensation of abundance that you want to share every day. You'll want more, especially at this price, with lamb merguez sausages grilled on the BBQ. Rating: 3.9.
