Mas de Sainte-Croix
Mas de Sainte-Croix owes its name to a bronze cross that now adorns the east gable of the building. The estate has been owned by the Coipel family since 2002. Today, Julien, Jacques’s son and an oenologist, has taken over the winemaking.
Mas de Sainte-Croix owns plots on plateaus and hillsides, primarily south-facing, at an altitude of 350 to 400 meters, on the plateau between Valréas and Vinsobres. These plots are dedicated to the production of Côtes-du-Rhône Villages. The soils are clay-limestone with a high stone content (between 10% and 50% pebbles); they are relatively poor but have optimal water reserves, which are highly conducive to deep root growth in the vines.
