Rated estate (2019 guide) Selected (An estate or winery that impressed us with one or more of its wines, though we are unable to offer a general assessment of the style of its entire range)

About the estate:

This estate was founded by the Wallut family in 1990, when they decided to plant Viognier vines around their vacation home. The vineyards are located at an altitude of between 400 and 600 meters, which lends freshness and elegance to the estate’s wines. The 13 hectares of small plots are situated on hillsides, facing southeast and swept by the mistral wind, on marl and limestone soils. Half of the estate’s production is white wine, almost entirely dedicated to the Viognier grape variety, which, thanks to the altitude, produces delicate and floral wines. The reds also possess full-bodied and floral bouquets.
