The Syrah grapes come from 9 different plots located on sandy, granite, and loess soils. The Grenache grapes come from 15 different plots, on varied terroirs consisting of sand, gravel, and rounded pebbles. All the plots were selected for their exceptional concentration and composition of mineral salts and polyphenols.

About the wine:

A blend of the 2015 and 2016 vintages, SM is composed of equal parts Grenache and Syrah, aged in tanks and barrels. A powerful nose of blackcurrant, ground black pepper, garrigue, and olive tapenade gives rise to a ripe, round, medium-bodied to full-bodied wine, with good acidity, well-structured tannins, a smooth and light texture, and a lovely finish. It is a unique wine, reminiscent of Syrah from the northern Rhône with a touch of roundness and sensuality, combined with the opulent style of the south. It will age well for 10 years.
