Bettane & Desseauve

“Still quite young, this Syrah deserves a little more time in the cellar. Rather austere at the moment, it will soften with age and reveal its full elegance. Refined and structured, it will really come into its own after being decanted.” (The Bettane & Desseauve Guide to French Wines 2018)

Wine rated (2018 guide) 15,5/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2018 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)

About the wine:

Still quite young, this Syrah deserves a little more time in the cellar. Rather austere at the moment, it will soften with age and reveal its full elegance. Sleek and structured, it will really come into its own after being decanted.

About the estate:

David Alexandre and Alain Gallety form a lively and innovative father-son duo. The winery is the epitome of the southern red wine... of the future.
