A family-owned estate founded by the parents in 1961 and located in the Mercurol area, the Michelas St Jemms estate draws on a range of terroirs in Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and Cornas. Certified HVE, the vineyard is managed using sustainable practices aimed at achieving low yields. In the late 1980s, the second generation—three sisters and one brother—took over the estate. United by a love of vines and wine, they decided together to follow in their parents’ footsteps.

The Michelas St Jemms estate spans 50 hectares of vineyards divided into various plots across four of the most prestigious appellations in the northern Rhône Valley: Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and Cornas. Their in-depth knowledge of each of these terroirs allows the family to draw out their full potential and achieve the most refined expression through careful plot-by-plot selection and judicious blending.
