La Gardette Mill
Jean-Baptiste Meunier, a winemaker since 1988, runs the Moulin de la Gardette estate, which spans 10 hectares in the Gigondas appellation. He began the transition to organic viticulture in 1999 (certified organic in 2012), with the aim of “preserving the environment” and “revealing the intrinsic qualities of the terroir.”

The Moulin de la Gardette vineyard is planted primarily with old Grenache vines (7 hectares) and supplemented by Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault on the remaining 3 hectares. The average age of the vines is 50 years, with the oldest among them being over 100 years old.

The philosophy of Moulin de la Gardette is to let the grapes and the terroir express themselves. Wines of remarkable quality and consistent excellence.
