"The estate's finest Gigondas, with crisp berries, cranberry, and raspberry. It is fresh, with a hint of volatile acidity that enhances the fruit and an abundance of fine, fresh, crisp tannins. It finishes with a fresh, slightly salty note. Long and elegant, with plenty of energy, without being overly structured or concentrated. Not destemmed, fermented in concrete vats and aged in large oak barrels." (Decanter 2024)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Among Gigondas' must-haves, Moulin de la Gardette and its ten hectares are an appealing property, meticulously managed by Jean-Baptiste Meunier. Between the terroirs of Saint-Jean and the Gardette hillside, the old Grenache vines capture the finesse of the limestone marl. There is no showmanship in the cellar, just perfect mastery of the wood by the master of the house. For several vintages now, the estate's wines have displayed remarkable naturalness, with a silky texture and integrated tannins.
