"A great vintage"

"The 2017 Lirac Bel Canto—a 100% Grenache cuvée aged in demi-muids—has appealing aromas of peppery roast meat, caramel, black cherry, and cola. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and velvety, with an intense, mellow finish." (Wine Advocate) The cuvée of Richard Maby's dreams from this superb vintage!

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

This estate, renowned for its consistent quality, particularly its Lirac wines in all three colors and its Tavel wines, was founded in 1950 by Armand Maby. In 2005, his grandson Richard took over the reins of the vineyard, 53 hectares located mainly on the rounded pebbles of the Vallongue plateau; the vines are cultivated "naturally" and have been in conversion to organic farming since 2019. Since 2011, the eminent Rhône oenologist Philippe Cambie has been advising the estate.

Always at its best, superb nose, full and delicious on the palate, very long finish. A truly enjoyable wine that won't have time to age!
