Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (guide 2014) 14/20 (vintage 2013) (Good wine)
Domaine rated (2018 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the wine:
Slight notes of fresh grass and white flowers on the nose, a straightforward, pure wine with a beautiful expression of fruit, round and full on the palate.
About the domain :
The estate offers a wide range of wines, all at a good level, which play more on elegance and aromatic precision than power. The 2014, 2015 and 2016 are further successes for the estate, in all three colors.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated 14/20 (vintage 2013) (Good)
Domaine rated 2**Stars (Successful production)
About the wine:
Fruity nose. Light, lively white.
About the domain :
Acquiring an old farmhouse and its 8 hectares of vines in 1989, Yves Rousset-Rouard set out to produce a great terroir wine and to promote the Côtes du Luberon appellation - now known as "Luberon". This goal seems to have been achieved 20 years later, thanks to hard work and a very selective choice of plots. His son Alexis has been helping him with the estate since 1995. Situated on the northern slopes of the Luberon Massif, the 40 hectares in production comprise over 65 parcels, all planted with 14 different grape varieties, although Syrah and Grenache are the mainstay. On the estate, you'll find the Musée du Tire-bouchon (corkscrew museum), with 1,200 items dating from the 17th century to the present day.
