Citadelle Estate
The Domaine de la Citadelle was founded in 1990 by Yves Rousset-Rouard, starting with a farm and its 8 hectares located at the foot of the village of Ménerbes. After 20 years of hard work, patience, and a highly selective choice of plots—and with the help of his son Alexis, who joined him in 1995—he succeeded in establishing one of the appellation’s leading estates.

The Domaine de la Citadelle vineyard now totals 39 hectares of vines, planted on soils that are predominantly clay-limestone with veins of stony debris. Cultivated using sustainable farming practices without herbicides or chemical fertilizers, Domaine de la Citadelle is committed to consistent quality, carrying out extensive green pruning and harvesting the grapes primarily by hand. In terms of winemaking, each step is carried out with the utmost respect for the grapes, in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, using gentle pressing. The wines of Domaine de la Citadelle are regularly recognized by the specialized press and are characterized by great finesse and freshness.
