Citadel Estate
The Domaine de la Citadelle was created in 1990 by Yves Rousset-Rouard from a farm and its 8 hectares located at the foot of the village of Ménerbes. After 20 years of hard work, patience, and a very selective choice of plots, and with the help of his son Alexis, who joined him in 1995, he succeeded in creating one of the appellation's leading estates.

The Domaine de la Citadelle vineyard now covers 39 hectares of vines, planted on mainly clay-limestone soils with veins of stony scree. Cultivated using sustainable methods without weedkillers or chemical fertilizers, Domaine de la Citadelle is constantly striving for quality, carrying out extensive green harvesting and harvesting mainly by hand. In terms of winemaking, each stage is carried out with the utmost respect for the grapes, in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with gentle pressing. The wines of Domaine de la Citadelle are regularly praised in the specialist press, characterized by their finesse and freshness.
