“The ever-reliable Pierre Vidal, who tirelessly offers us top-tier wines from various Rhône appellations. Aged gently in tanks for 18 months, this prodigious Rasteau is all the more remarkable for its luscious nose of candied blackcurrant and chocolate-covered morello cherry, and its rich, dense, and very fresh palate, enhanced by balsamic notes of resin and clove, and wrapped in smooth, briny tannins. Faced with such grace, the jury bows in admiration. » (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on April 22, 2026
In addition to its full-bodied character and substantial structure, this cuvée is built around a rich, fleshy framework, with generous aromas and vibrant fruit freshness accented by spices, supported by tight, silky tannins. The finish is marked by smoky notes. Still in the prime of its youth, it will soon pair brilliantly with Southern cuisine, particularly a Sisteron lamb sauté with black olives. Rating = 3.8.
