“Faced with such grace, the jury is in awe (Le Guide Hachette 2026)”

“The ever-reliable Pierre Vidal, who tirelessly delivers top-tier wines across various Rhône appellations. Aged simply in tanks for 18 months, this prodigious Rasteau is all the more remarkable for its luscious nose of candied blackcurrant and chocolate-covered morello cherry, and its rich, dense, and very fresh palate, enhanced by balsamic notes of resin and clove, and wrapped in smooth, briny tannins. Faced with such grace, the jury bows in admiration. " (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About the wine:

The ever-reliable Pierre Vidal, who tirelessly delivers top-tier wines across various Rhône appellations. Aged simply in tanks for 18 months, this prodigious Rasteau is all the more remarkable for its luscious nose of candied blackcurrant and chocolate-covered morello cherry, and its rich, dense, and very fresh palate, enhanced by balsamic notes of resin and clove, and wrapped in smooth, mineral-driven tannins. Faced with such grace, the jury bows in admiration.

About the estate:

Pierre Vidal, who lives in Châteauneuf-du-Pape with his wife—a winemaker—founded his wine merchant business in 2010. This oenologist, trained in Burgundy, has assembled a small team and, in 2019, built his own winery to refine his single-vineyard selections, which focus on organic and vegan wines. Wines of consistently high quality.
