Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Maxime and Antoine Graillot are now in charge of the family estate. Alain Graillot, who passed away in 2022, started the wine estate movement in the Châssis area in the mid-1980s. His La Guiraude cuvée, which has always been a selection of the best barrels in the cellar, is a benchmark for the appellation, with definite aging potential. Generations pass, but the style remains.

Wine rating (2014 guide) 16/20 (2011 vintage) (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
The great Alain Graillot sadly passed away in 2022. This talented and visionary winemaker leaves his two sons, Antoine and Maxime, a property that sits at the top of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, demonstrating, for many years now, the potential of the appellation's finest terroirs. Located in the heart of the alluvial plain of pure pebbles and gravel in La Roche-de-Glun, the estate produces Syrahs that are finer and more structured than most in the area. The strength of the wines lies in the immediate pleasure they provide, even though they are capable of aging with complexity for ten years... or even much longer.
