Bastien never ceases to amaze us with his accuracy and precision. Instinct never lies. Here is the proof: this Syrah boasts noble, pure fruit, with sincere spicy and fruity notes tinged with smoked bacon. Full-bodied and lush, the palate is defined by whole-cluster fermentation but develops a velvety finish that promises excellent aging potential.

About the wine:
Partially vinified from whole clusters, this blend from nine of the estate’s vineyards displays a lovely freshness. The palate remains fruit-forward, with a hint of spice (pepper). The wine is both easy to drink and elegant.
About the estate:
This small estate in Saint-Jean de Muzols has been producing wine for many years, but took a new direction when Bastien Jolivet succeeded his father in 2014 and decided to stop supplying his grapes to the cooperative. His vineyard is situated on beautiful hillsides; the wines produced there are made using native yeast and fermented in used barrels. The reds include a portion of whole-cluster fermentation and are aged in demi-muids.
