Domaine de la Tête Noire - Vacqueyras La Clapière 2013
89-90/100
Robert Parker
“The 2013 La Clapière is a traditional blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, vinified primarily in tanks, with 10% aged in barrels. It offers elegant notes of black fruit, violets, and wild herbs that complement a round, beautifully concentrated (especially for this vintage), and well-balanced palate. In a vintage where most producers struggled to soften the tannins, this estate has succeeded admirably.” (Wine Advocate 2015 – Jeb Dunnuck)

Aroma of black fruits. Smooth, fairly long finish. A modern wine with a charming side.

Nice. Decant it to bring out its full flavor.

I was expecting a wine with more body. At 13.5 euros, I'm a little disappointed.
