“This deep garnet-colored wine with violet highlights reveals a nose of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry jam. On the palate, the attack is extraordinarily smooth and full-bodied. Its volume, structure, and power set the stage for a long finish. A wine for fine dining.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

About the wine:
This deep garnet-colored wine with violet highlights reveals a nose of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry jam. On the palate, the attack is extraordinarily smooth and full-bodied. Its volume, structure, and power set the stage for a long finish. A wine perfect for fine dining.
About the estate:
Véronique Boudau and her brother Pierre have been at the helm of the family estate since 1993. They decided to breathe new life into the property, which spans some 50 hectares of excellent terroirs at the entrance to the Agly Valley. Their efforts have paid off: the entire production is bottled and sold, particularly through a network of restaurants and wine shops. A sure bet, the estate has begun the transition to organic farming. Véronique’s daughter has just joined the venture.

About the wine:
Plum and licorice stand out on the nose of this 2017 Henri Boudau cuvée; this blend of Syrah (70%) and Grenache (30%) spent a year in barrels (20% of which were new). It is medium-bodied with a predominance of fruit and a lovely structure that suggests aging potential of at least 5–6 years.
