Château Montana
Founded in the late 19th century, Château Montana is currently run by Patrick Saurel, supported by his children. By renovating several buildings and constructing new cellars in the early 2000s, he has been able to give free rein to his imagination in crafting his Roussillon wines.
The Château Montana vineyard spans 30 hectares across the Aspres terroirs with their clay-limestone soils, where Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and Mourvèdre are planted, along with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and more local varieties: Marselan and Caladoc. Cultivated using sustainable farming practices, the Château Montana vineyard is HVE 3 certified.
