"This is Les Aspres at its best." (Jeb Dunnuck)

"The nose, intense and refined, opens with aromas of fresh cherry and wild strawberry, underscored by a subtle hint of undergrowth. On the palate, freshness dominates, highlighting a supple, delicate, and balanced texture. The elegant finish reveals subtle hints of spice. A harmonious and easy-to-love wine that seduces with its precision and beautiful aromatic expression." (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 95/100

About wine:

The Côtes Du Roussillon Villages Les Aspres Château De Corneilla Cavalcade 2023, a blend of 50% Syrah, 25% Grenache Noir, and 25% Mourvèdre, has well-integrated woody notes, aromas of ripe black fruit, a touch of mocha, slightly candied notes, aromas of wild strawberry, peony, and a few hints of graphite. Fresh on the palate, with velvety tannins and a tight finish, the style of this wine is quite restrained and still very young. It has wonderful aging potential and should be served decanted. This is Les Aspres at its best. Drink between 2025 and 2040.
