"Welcome to Roussillon" (Hachette)
Precise, elegant, and well-structured, the Côtes Du Roussillon Château De Corneilla Héritage 2023 has a pleasant character thanks to the skillful blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache Noir, and 20% Carignan. Ripe fruit, black cherry, wild herbs, and peppery spices are underscored by tight, satiny tannins, plenty of freshness, and, despite its density, great finesse. A harmonious wine with a refreshing hint of bitterness and a gastronomic character, it is already delicious today, but can easily age for a few more years to gain depth and complexity." Wine rated 2 stars (Outstanding wine)
About wine:
A dark color with ruby highlights, an intense nose combining undergrowth, blond tobacco, and scents of Mediterranean garrigue (laurel, thyme)—welcome to Roussillon. On the palate, black fruits (blackberry, blueberry) are complemented by a peppery freshness, infusing a powerful yet mellow texture, balanced by a beautiful tension and a long, licorice-flavored finish. Definitely a wine with good aging potential.
