Ripe fruit, black cherry, wild aromatic herbs, and peppery spices are highlighted by tight, silky tannins, plenty of freshness, and—despite its density—great finesse. A deep color with ruby highlights; an intense nose blending forest floor notes, blond tobacco, and scents of the Mediterranean garrigue (bay leaf, thyme)—welcome to Roussillon. On the palate, black fruits (blackberry, blueberry) are complemented by a peppery freshness, infusing a powerful yet well-integrated body, balanced by lovely structure and a long, licorice-tinged finish. Definitely a wine with great aging potential.
