3*Étoile

Hachette

(2015 Vintage Notes)

Floral and bold, this wine develops a full-bodied, supple texture structured by firm tannins. Long and complex, it expresses the freshness of the black schist soils of Espira de l'Agly right through to the finish.

About the estate:

The son of Breton farmers who emigrated to the United States, born in Manhattan and of French-American descent, Patrick Rety has fulfilled his dream: to make wine and explore the expression of terroir. He studied and began his career in Brittany, selling franchises for a restaurant chain. In 2012, his estate (now 4 ha) was established near Rivesaltes. It is in the process of converting to organic (biodynamic) farming.
