Located in the village of Espira de l'Agly, the Rety Estate covers an area of 2 hectares facing Mont Canigou, where the vines—with an average age of 20 years—have been planted on the gravelly hillsides of the appellation. This region boasts a wide variety of terroirs, each with its own distinct soils, climates, and grape varieties; the interplay of these elements results in unique wines.

Between the harsh climate of the foothills of the Pyrenees and the Massif Central and the mild climate of the Mediterranean coast, there are many contrasts. The climate here is quintessentially Mediterranean: abundant sunshine—with over 2,500 hours of sunshine per year—and low rainfall. The conditions here are ideal for the healthy growth of the vines in the Rety Estate.

Three grape varieties have been planted in the vineyards of Domaine Rety: Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
