Located in the village of Espira de l'Agly, the Rety Estate It covers an area of 2 hectares facing Mount Canigou, where the vines—with an average age of 20 years—were planted on the gravelly ridges of the appellation. This region boasts a wide variety of terroirs, each with its own distinct soils, climates, and grape varieties; the interplay of these elements results in unique wines.

Between the harsh mountain terrain of the Pyrenees foothills and the Massif Central, and the mild climate of the Mediterranean coast, there are many contrasts. The climate here is quintessentially Mediterranean: abundant sunshine—with more than 2,500 hours of sunshine per year—and low rainfall. The conditions here are ideal for the healthy growth of the vines in the Rety Estate.

Three grape varieties have been planted in the Domaine Rety vineyard: Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
